With 25 years of experience in the music business, Kris Bloemen has been around the block and knows it like the back of his hand. Kris and his business partner, Pieter Ramboer, run House of Entertainment: a music and events agency operating across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Calling House of Entertainment a booking agency only would be an understatement. They’re a full-service music ecosystem. Instead of simply routing tours, they manage the entire lifecycle of their talent.

Their services also include combined marketing and management for Dutch artists crossing the border into Belgium.

But running a multi-faceted empire requires serious administrative firepower, and last year the company hit a critical logistical crossroads… Implementing Peppol compliance by 1 January 2026.

Taming a multi-department beast before the Peppol deadline in Belgium

In the late summer of last year, House of Entertainment was on the lookout for a new software ecosystem: a platform that could handle the complex, sprawling nature of their business.

Just like any house, they have many rooms and hallways. They need to host several sub-departments under one roof without it becoming an unmanageable mess.

At the same time, the strict legal deadline was bearing down on them.

While their company’s accounting software was ready for the task, their booking workflow wasn’t. If they couldn't find a booking program that natively integrated Peppol by the new year, their entire sales process would be bottlenecked.

SystemOne’s Peppol compliance solution for artist booking agencies

After a thorough market study, House of Entertainment migrated to SystemOne in August 2025. It offered the blend of price, usability, and structural flexibility they were looking for. More importantly, it solved their impending government compliance crisis. It ticked their boxes in terms of:

    • Built-in Peppol compliance
    • Easy to navigate with minimal feature bloating
    • More affordable than current platform
    • Works frictionlessly within their business ecosystem

Let’s break down the various facets of House of Entertainment’s migration to SystemOne for artist bookings, deals, show planning, and invoicing.

    1. Delivering on the Peppol promise

SystemOne's developers committed to having the Peppol integration ready before the mandate hit.

Today, compliant e-invoicing is seamlessly baked into their daily operations. If the client's VAT data is correct, sending a Peppol invoice is now "just like pressing one button,” Kris says.

    2. Using One System for many "houses"

SystemOne’s flexible infrastructure allows Kris and Pieter to cleanly map their complex company directly into the software. Today, a team of five employees manages three distinct booking departments:

    • House of Entertainment
    • House of Comedy
    • House of Events
But they didn't stop at bookings.

They also integrated their technical production company, House of Solutions, using SystemOne to generate offers and book their technical crew. They even use it to coordinate their publishing wing's release schedules for platforms like Spotify.

Despite all these moving parts, Kris says, "you can combine everything into one big agenda.”

    3. Providing a bird's-eye view of the agency

As an agency owner, Kris isn't the one typing up daily contracts, but he needs total visibility over the House.

The various House of Entertainment teams rely heavily on the SystemOne mobile app and iCal integrations to get a total overview of all the artists and all the bookings—directly from their phones.

    4. A direct line to the developers

Managing a complex roster—where artists might perform with a live band one night and a solo tape track the next—means Kris & team need customized workflows. What he values most about SystemOne isn't just the software, but the people behind it.

It's a responsive partnership that ensures House of Entertainment can keep opening new doors for their artists without the administrative roof caving in.

Puns aside, Kris’s valuable feedback helped us shape our Peppol invoicing feature set. We’re also looking forward to expanding integrated e-invoicing to other territories where our customers will need to meet compliance deadlines (Germany, Netherlands, etc.).

“We have an agency, we have a management company, we do publishing, we do communication, marketing for artists, but we also have a department for organizing shows. We provide a lot of doors that an artist can open.”

“We have several artists, but also we have several agencies.”

“Starting January 1st, we had to use the Peppol system, which is a B2B invoice system from the Belgian government.”

“SystemOne was the only system that promised us integrated Peppol compliance, and they delivered.”

“I'm not a booker, but SystemOne helps me decide if I want to go to a show and see what's happening in our company.”

“For me, one of the biggest advantages of working with SystemOne is their customer communication. If you have a question, you get an answer very quickly.”
