eSign frequently asked questions
As more-and-more users are switching to eSign, we want to give answer to some questions.
Why can't I customize the sender of eSign emails?
System One (noreply@systemonesoftware.com) is the sender for all invitations and reminder emails, as this the platform where signatures are placed. This is not customizable, as it would compromise the accountability in the signing process.
The emails contain a unique link that identify the person that signs. This unique link should be kept secret, so there is a certainty about the identity of the recipient.
With a customizable sender email, (for instance, imagine that emails would be sent from your own agency email address), it would inadvertently happen that you sometimes gain access to the unique link of the signer, for instance, when it's included in an autoreply or when a user replies to the email.
Can I have my own signature already on eSign documents that I sent out?
Before introducing eSigning, some users would send contracts that already had their signature as an image included. Although it might seem practical, this workflow doesn't translates perfectly to eSigning:
- eSigning needs 2 defined parties, which appear in the audit page that is automatically added as the last page in the document. This provides a structure that particants can recognize and trust.
- As a sender, you can turn on autosign (automatic signature) and save time, without the legal disadvantage of sending out pre-signed documents.
